Description on the program:
1st day: - pick up from the bus or airport by remorque- moto to the Popular guesthouse.

- stay over night in the Popular guesthouse
2nd day:
+ morning
1). Breakfast at the guesthouse ( 7h00am)
2). Tour starts at 8h30am: We visit baksei chamkrong first, because if you visit Angkor wat in the morning, it is difficult to take pictures, as it reflects the sun. Baksei chamkrong is the ancient temple located near the Phnom bakeng mountain. Angkor Thom GateIt is a brick tower, three levels high, and is a Hindu temple. The doors are decorated with pretty sandstone carvings, and you can look out from the great view on the top level. Then, continue to the south gate of Angkor Thom, in which the entrance was decorated by two rows of figures holding the body of cobras. The entrance tower is decorated by four faces, which you can walk through to resume to the Bayon temple. It is a great temple, 54 towers (mentioned by French document), located in the center of the city, it is a Buddhist temple, and was the state temple in reign of king JAYAVARMAN VII. Each tower is decorated by four faces, the bas-relief on the walls of Bayon depict the battle of the Khmer and Cham, the king's involvement in the military, the battle on the boat in Tonle sap, daily life, and animals and activities in the period of king JAYAVARMAN VII.
Later, visit Bapoun, artificial mountain temple, dedicated to the Shiva God, originally the central tower installed the Linga of Shiva. Behind the temple, the big reclining Buddha was constructed. Continue to the PHIMEANAKAS temple, located in the Royal palace, surrounded by the laterite wall, shaped like a pyramid.
The Chinese ambassador "zhou ta kvuan," arrived in 1296, reported on the Palace when he met with the King and paid his respect. He also described the Royal Palace building and the legend of Phimeanakak temple. Next, we visit the Elephant terrace, located in front of the royal palace. 310m long with the small high terrace in the middle where the king would hold his meetings with the people. On the wall, you will notice carvings that depict the elephant's hunter. Next, the leper king terrace, on the top of which are the statues of leper king, or the God YAMA. The walls of the terrace are decorated by carvings, depicting the NAGA planet and YAMA- God with his court. In front of the elephant terrace is Sour proattemple, which has 12 brick towers, some of which were repaired by Japan.
3). Break for lunch

Visit the Angkor wat temple, the main temple in Angkor area. Built by king SORYAVARMAN II in the 12th century. It is one of the most impressive architectural achievements in the world, dedicated to the Hindu God- Vishnu. The five towers are shaped like lotus flowers on the high bas (65m high), surrounded by walls and the moat (lake). The Angkor wat represented the Meru mountain, located at the top of the universe surrounded by the oceans.

The bas- relief on the walls of Angkor wat depicted the legend of the Hindu religion- RAMAYANA, MAHABARATA, churning of the sea of milk, the king's meeting with his court, the march of the military against the Eastern enemies, and living in hell.

Angkor wat is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and became one of the world heritage in 1992. Then finally, visit the sunset on the hill of the mountain Phnom Bakeng temple. It is a popular place, looking over views of Tonle Sap, Angkor wat, west Baray lake, and especially the great sunset over the rice field of the Khmer's natural environment.

3rd day:

1). Breakfast at the guesthouse ( 7h00am)
2). Tour starts at 8h30am: Visit the small circuit, beginning from Kravan temple, built in the early 10th century, dedicated to Vishnu God in the Hindu religion. It has five brick towers which face to the east. After this, continue to Banteay Kdei temple, a large temple built in the 12th century, surrounded by walls, and each gate decorated by faces. The central tower appears in poor condition, and at the back of the temple you can see a big tree growing.
Then, proceed to Sra Srong temple, which is a big lake, surrounded in stone steps, with a terrace in the front decorated by Naga balustrade. Later, continue to Taprom, which is a Buddhist jungle temple built by JAYAVARMAN VII, dedicated to his mother, and surrounded by walls covering the large area. There are the giant trees grown over the roof of the temple. It is the temple that Angelina Jolie starred in the Hollywood film TOMB RAIDER. The next is Takeo temple, a Hindu temple, built by two kings in the 10th and 11th centuries. It is an artificial mountain temple, with five towers standing on the high bas shaped like a pyramid, but without carving in the sandstone. At the top level, there is a good viewpoint.Then, visit Thommanon and Chaosay tevda temple, built in the same period as Angkor wat, by king SORYAVARMAN II, a Hindu temple, dedicated to Vishnu God. Thomanon was restored by the French, while Chaosay tevda was recently rebuilt by china.

Break for Lunch

+ Afternoon
Visit the Preah khan temple, which means "the secret sword," constructed by king JAYAVARMAN VII, a Buddhist temple, dedicated to his father. It is a large, peacefully quiet temple, and the architecture is similar to Taprom.
Some giant trees have grown over the roof of the temple at the east entrance, and the terrace is decorated by Naga balustrade. Then proceed to NeakPean.
Built by JAYAVARMAN VII, but with a different style, this temple is located in the Baray lake, with a big pool situated in the middle and four others surrounding it facing north, east, south, and west. A tower stands on the island with two Naga intertwined and facing to the east. In the four rooms covered by roof exist statues of the Human's head, the Elephant's head, the Horse's head, and the Lion's head. Originally, they reached the temple by boat. The next is Tasom temple, built by the same king in the 12th century. At the east entrance tower, a big tree has grown over the face statues and the roof of the gate. Later, visit the East Mebon temple, located in the middle of the east Baray lake, built by king Rajendravarman II in the 10th century,

dedicated to his ancestors. Finally, visit Pre Rup temple, state temple under reign of king Rajendravarman II. There are five brick towers, shaped like a pyramid. The architecture and artistry is super, and the upper level has an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.

  • Have a great meal at the VIP restaurant ( 7h00pm- 8h30pm ), buffet, try to taste the Khmer food and European food and visit the Khmer traditional dancing ( Apsara dance ).
  • Back to guest house to stay over night
4th day:

1). Visit Angkor wat at sunrise at 4h30am
2). Breakfast at the guesthouse (7h00am)
3). Tour starts at 8h30am: Visit Banteay Srey, 38km from SiemReap, it is small but is the finest carving in the Angkor area. The stones have many colors (pink, Yellow, brown, etc.). It was built under the reign of king Rajendravarman II and continued by his son, Jayavarman V, and was constructed by the Brahman, his great teacher. The temple is surrounded by walls and a moat. The three central towers are shaped like lotus flowers.
The walls and the doors are covered by the most beautiful, deep carvings, displaying some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. On the way back, visit the landmine museum for a short time. You can see the mines, which have been collected from different places after the war finished, and see a display of a landmine field, and learn about the techniques and other information. Then, back to Banteay Samre temple, which was built in the style of Angkor wat, architecturally and artistically. It is a flat and large temple, built by the same king that built Angkor wat. The carvings are in excellent condition.

In the afternoon, we visit the Rolous group on the road No 6, east of Siem Reap (16km). The first temple is Preah Ko, meaning"Secret Bull"
There are six brick towers built on the foundation. It is the first temple, built in the early Khmer capital city of Hariharalaya. Originally, it was surrounded by wall. The next is Bakong temple, built by king Indravarman I, it is an artificial mountain temple for the Hindu religion. The central tower is situated on the high bas with five levels, surrounded by moat and walls. There are small brick towers on the ground around the main temple. The central tower was rebuilt by the next king. At the end of the tour, visit Lolei temple, where only four brick towers survive. The Lolei temple is constructed by king Yasovarman I in the middle of the island (though today there is no water there). He built it before Phnom Bakeng temple was constructed (after which the city was moved to Phnom Bakeng's location). Originally, it was surrounded by water and the people could reach the temple by boat.

5th day:
